Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 19, 2026

TubeMate, a DataFlee product, helps creators manage and respond to comments on their own YouTube channels. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have.

By using TubeMate, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our use of data as described below.

Google User Data and YouTube API Services

TubeMate uses YouTube API Services. If you connect your YouTube account, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge Google's Privacy Policy.

  • We access YouTube channel information, video titles, comment threads, and related metadata only for channels that a user explicitly authorizes.
  • We use this data only to provide TubeMate features such as connecting a channel, reviewing comments, generating reply suggestions, storing drafts, and posting replies on behalf of the authorized creator.
  • We do not sell YouTube user data and we do not use YouTube user data for advertising.
  • We do not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
  • When AI reply generation is used, relevant comment context may be sent to an AI provider strictly for real-time reply generation on behalf of the user. That data is not sent for ad targeting or generalized model training by us.

You can revoke TubeMate's access to your Google account at any time from Google Account Permissions. You may also disconnect your channel from within TubeMate.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use TubeMate, we may collect the following information:

  • Account information: your email address and basic account profile information used to create and maintain your TubeMate account.
  • YouTube connection data: channel id, channel name, channel thumbnail, OAuth tokens, video titles, and comment data required to power the service.
  • Reply workflow data: generated drafts, approved replies, comment reply logs, channel settings, approval preferences, and usage history.
  • Payment and billing data: billing events and purchase metadata processed through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers.
  • Technical and security data: service logs, error data, and operational metadata used to secure and maintain the platform.

How We Use Information

  • To authenticate users and maintain their accounts.
  • To connect and manage authorized YouTube channels.
  • To fetch comments and generate suggested replies.
  • To post replies when approved by the user or when auto-reply is enabled.
  • To provide dashboards, logs, billing, support, and abuse prevention.
  • To monitor reliability, investigate incidents, and protect the service.

Data Sharing and Security

We use third-party infrastructure providers such as Supabase, Google Cloud, and Stripe to operate TubeMate. We may also use AI providers to generate reply text requested by the user.

We share data only as needed to provide the service, secure the platform, comply with law, or enforce our terms. We do not sell personal information.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. No online system can be guaranteed 100 percent secure, but we work to limit access and protect stored credentials and account data.

Data Retention

We retain account, channel, and workflow data only for as long as needed to provide TubeMate, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

If you disconnect your channel or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize data where reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, billing, and fraud prevention requirements.
